This is a spalted Maple wood wooden Heart wall hanging wood Anniversary gift present. It's the perfect any occasion gift!! I am Gary Burns the treewiz and I carved everything in my shop. I can Personalize it on the back, if it is simple like a short sentence and date there is no extra charge. It comes ready to hang. It really makes a loving statement!! There are portions of the outside edge just under the bark all over this heart and a few holes. I love the contrast. The colors on this piece of Maple are amazing! And I love the natural holes!

Maple grows in my neck of the woods, in Southern Oregon. There is some unique figuring in the grain of this piece. The spalting is throughout the piece. Spalting is another term for rotting. After a tree dies fungi are the first to break the wood down to return to the earth. Each fungi as a unique signature. Maple is usually a sort of tan color. This piece is rich brown color. This is a very kool looking heart. This is about as large a piece as I am interested in shipping. : )

It is flat on the back so it hangs on the wall. I have attached a metal self leveling hanger on the back for hanging and I signed Wiz on the back as well.

Care instructions
All of my carvings have a lacquer finish. Dusting with a feather duster or blowing off with a compressor is all that is necessary on the carved trees, fish and carved faces. I use Orange oil on the smooth surfaces. This will perk them up. I would do it as often as you polish your furniture. Once a month would keep them looking great but is not necessary.
When will I get my purchased carving?
I will contact you as soon as I get your order. I will package it that day or the next. I take it to the Post Office the next morning. If I get an order on Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday it will be in Monday mornings mail.
How will my carving be shipped?
I use Priority United States postal service mail.
Do you ship outside of the US?
I do ship outside of the US. I need to know the carving that you are interested in and your complete shipping address. I will figure what it costs to ship to your address and make the changes to the listing so that you can make the purchase.
